IArray.astype(view_dtype)

Cast the array into a view of a specified type.

Parameters

view_dtype ((np.float64, np.float32, np.int64, np.int32, np.int16, np.int8, np.uint64, np.uint32, np.uint16,) – np.uint8, np.bool_) The dtype in which the array will be casted. Only upcasting is supported.

Returns

The new view as a normal IArray.
